i’m so glad i hesitated to drop this, Shikong Zhi Xi is definitely one of those highly underrated Chinese anime. it’d be nice to see a continuation but sadly 90% of video game adaptions never see the light of day again

This should be a good episode!!

So I did enjoy the episode, but I don't think the eagle guy should've been beaten so easily when before they all fought together and still wasn't anywhere near his level and couldn't even touch him; but now they all of a sudden are able to when the MC gets a powerup lol?? I get him being nerfed from the artifact, but the others still were weak and even weaker after being beaten to a pulp, how did they muster up enough energy to fight alongside the MC?? I believe they should've still lost but for some other reason he wasn't able to finish the job and also had the artifact taken back from him.

But I wonder what is going on with Qin Mo, I like the fact they're including the side characters and giving us more subplots adding to the main plot. Makes it way more interesting when there's well written side characters and their problems added into the story, that affects the MC. I HATE lame side characters with no intriguing backstories nor anything that entices the viewer and enhances the story as a whole.

I think it was a combination of a few things. The doctor definitely was MVP, without her they would have lost at least 3 times during that fight. Seems like she has general heal and recovery abilities and the amplification. It seems like unsealing his powers gave him a drastic increase in ability, before he was working with basically all his power shut off (relying on the sword, etc.) and he definitely got stronger from the fights he was in before unsealing, it makes sense he'd be on par with Genie afterwards.

I think having an artifact inside of him maybe boosted how much power he could handle after the unsealing too, there's no way that didn't effect him in some way. It makes sense he'd be at full power after being unsealed since he didn't use any of his latent power.

Then the boost after the fact. And the doctor boosted them all at the end I think. They all used a lot more power than he did though so it makes sense they'd appear weaker in that moment. Even with boosts and heals to a degree. I don't think they're actually weaker, I think the MC and Genie are around the same level power wise? I could be wrong since we haven't seen him fight much yet with his power.

But yeah, I hope they don't do the generic she needs saving thing considering she's maybe their strongest fighter. They seem to be implying she's related to the skeletons in some way, or maybe not fully human. We'll see I guess, maybe if they bring it back, lol.

Yea, you know its the same MC gotta go save the girl he now like subplot, maybe with him growing from the experience battling powerful foes, and becoming more adapt to his own strength's and power. ( LEVEL UP) XD.

aha! now wasn't that cool! :D they got the Golden McGuffin... and a pair of bonus pieces to the 'grand conspiracy'...

oh boy... yet another 'save the damsel' plotline? :o

we'll have to wait and see! :D

Not sure she'll need saving, she seems to be one of the more reliable fighters, and it seems like she's related to the skeletons somehow so she might not even be fully human. The whole "awakening" line makes me think they aren't trying to kill her anyway, she might have memories locked or something and become to enemy, or almost, I suspect her personality is too strong for her to fully accept a plot like that. Either way, having the MC save her would be lame at this point.

So is this the end of the season? I hope we get another. I almost dropped this a few times too but it's one of like... 2 or 3 ongoing Chinese anime that are decent (aka actual animation and not cgi style). If this got canceled there wouldn't be much left.
